Will
Bulldog Security takeover my existing system?
We may be able to utilize some or all of your existing
system or equipment. This is a difficult question to
answer without seeing the system as there are many
factors to consider. We do offer a free no obligation
inspection which enables us to give you an educated
answer.
Do you offer
free installations?
No, but neither do the companies who offer them. They
are merely financing the installation cost with their
higher monthly
monitoring rates (which never go down) and long term contracts. We charge
a reasonable fee up front for the installation; this
allows you to pick the monitoring rate that best suits
you.
My house came with smoke detectors, why do you recommend
that I buy more?
The smoke detectors that came in your house are not
monitored. We recommend supplementing those with our
monitored smoke detectors. They will contact the
monitoring center for you whether you are home or not.
As we know, in a fire every second counts.
Do you offer an extended warranty?
Yes we do. Our basic warranty is 90 days. We offer an
extended warranty free of charge for our customers who
wish to sign a 1 year or longer agreement. (Most other
companies offer this as an additional monthly charge.)
The length of the extended warranty is equal to the
initial length of the term of the monitoring agreement.
After your term is up you may add the service plan for
$5 per month.
What does the warranty cover?
Our warranty covers parts and labor on any cause, except
for fire, acts of God, nature, war or terrorism, remodeling, and
user abuse.
How quickly can I expect a response from an alarm?
The monitoring center typically receives the signals
within seconds. By the end of the first minute
they have usually called the premises to verify the alarm and have called your local police or fire agency to alert
them to the situation. As with all emergency agencies,
the time it takes to perform these tasks is according to
the call volume at the monitoring center at the time of
the alarm.
A consumer guru recommends that I not sign a long term
contract, can you do that?
Yes, Bulldog Security Services was founded with the idea
of offering what our competitors won't; flexibility.
We offer month-to-month, as well as longer term
monitoring agreements.
I’ve been told that wireless equipment is the best to
have, do you use wireless?
We try not to. We believe that for the most reliable
security possible hardwiring is the way to go. We
believe that wireless components are less reliable than
hardwired components. For the long term Bulldog prefers hardwired.
If I move, must I return the equipment?
No. You own it. We did not sneak a lease agreement into
the monitoring agreement.
